remove wheels, clean and true rims
sand brake pad surfaces
wipe down frame and drivetrain, lube as needed
expose and lube brake and shifter cables
check tires for damage; inflate to correct pressure
reinstall wheels
check and tighten every fastener on the bicycle
adjust brake and shifters as close to original specifications as possible
test ride to check all operations
