March 20th, Memorial Hall  JUST IN--Aaron Ritz
Beth Greene Winners first-ever Brompton US Championship -- and trip to London for the Brompton World Champs! Ritz and Greene held off a field of 58 other well-dressed Brompton Riders on Sat. March 20.... see pics from the Daily News' David Maialetti HERE. It's not your regular bicycle race--Brompton folder bikes only; "business attire" required*--jacket and tie... There's a Le Mans running start to your folded Brommie. And there are prizes for Best-Dressed. Grand Prize? Roundtrip airfare to the Brompton World Championships in England this fall! It all happens at Memorial Hall in West Fairmount Park on Sat. March 20. Official race start time is 1pm--but registered racers must be checked in at least 30 minutes in advance. Limited to just 100 riders, so register now--complete info at www.bromptonbicycle.com/busc. NOTE: there will be a Brommie Promenade to the race start. Meets inside Amtrak's 30th St. Station at 9:30 am sharp on race day. Come early and have some coffee with us. * Do note that short pants or skirts are OK. There are no restrictions on footwear.
