Is it bike or beast? 

Surly really outdid themselves with this one.  Equally at home on mountain trails, cross country tours, and urban bike lanes, the 26" wheeled Troll comes prepared for virtually any setup you can imagine.  Wanna run disc brakes, front and rear racks, and full fenders?  No problem.  How about a 100mm suspension fork and 26x2.7" tires?  Single speed with cantilever brakes?  Just remove the derailleur hanger. 

The complete bike comes set up as a jack-of-all-trades with a 3x9 mountain drivetrain, Avid BB7 disc brakes, and Surly's Open Bars.  The dropouts (calling them "unique" would be putting it mildly) allow for easy installation of rack and fenders, a situation that give most mountain-ready bikes migraines.  Plus they kind of look like little troll faces. 

You just have to test ride it to believe it.  (Yes we have at least one at both our locations)
